MBL-tahini yogurt dip

Tahini Yogurt Sauce

January 12, 2015

This sauce is a perfect dip for veggie burger bites—serve them with the rest of your game day spread, where it goes just as well with a crudités platter, pita chips, and whatever else you can think of. Tangy, additive-free yogurt is best here—sheep's milk is my favorite—and for a nondairy one, try Anita's Creamline Coconut Yogurt.

Makes about 1 cup
Prep and cook time: 5 minutes

One 6-ounce container (about 3/4 cup) tangy yogurt (see note above)
3 tablespoons well-stirred tahini
1-1/2 teaspoons honey
1/2 teaspoon salt
A few grinds black pepper
A few drops lemon juice

To serve: 1 package any flavor Made by Lukas Fresh Veggie burgers, cooked into bites about 1-tablespoon each, according to package instructions

Combine all ingredients in a small bowl and stir until smooth. Different brands of yogurt vary in tanginess and savoriness, so you may want to adjust the flavor with a bit more honey or lemon juice. Refrigerate until ready to serve with Made by Lukas veggie burger bites on the side.
